As PennPIRG’s Field Organizer, Michael oversees the organization’s work protecting consumers from predatory lending, advancing good government practices, and safeguarding public health. He joins PennPIRG after serving in Clean Water Action’s Philadelphia office for two years. There, his work focused on restoring the Clean Water Act, protecting streams from stormwater pollution, and mustering local communities around waste, public health, and green infrastructure.
Originally from Rhode Island, Michael served as the Vice President for Policy with the Environment Council of Rhode Island, where he coordinated legislative policy and promoted grassroots solutions to climate change adaptation and mitigation. He is the 2014 recipient of the National Conservation Achievement Award for Youth Leadership and brings with him his drive to mobilize communities as informers of smart policy.
We're calling on big restaurant chains to stop the overuse of antibiotics on factory farms. Tell KFC to stop serving meat raised on routine antibiotics.
